About Me
I'm 24, born in England, never lived there, grew up in Andorra, tiny country between France and Spain. Did all my studies in France as in Andorra you can either get a Spanish or French education. Got a degree in tourism as I didn't know what I wanted to do but did know I wanted to travel so thought it best to get something under my beslt before leaving. Worked for Ski Andorra for a year promoting Andorra as a ski destination and get some cash before leaving, as you do. Had dreamed of going to Africa so decided to do a field guiding course in the Sabi Sands private game reserva of South Africa. Was an amazing expereince, met some lovely ppl and got to learn how track game, the big 5, antipoaching, animal behaviour, all about plants and their medicinal uses etc. Aftre that course went back home and decidded to concentrate on getting back there asap and to try and work as a guide. really tough industry for a white female, non african citizen to get into so decided to combine it with horse riding, have ridden horses all my life. So became a horse back safari guide in Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and spent alot of time down in Cape Town. Eventually realised that I didn't have what it takes to guide ppl out into lion territory, pretty lonely out in the bush too so came back to Andorra and was skint as pay was not great but then I wasn't doing it for the money. I am know working for Ski Andorra again for 6 months and will stick out the winter season and get as much cash as I can as I don't intend to stay or return after my next travelling experience which I plan to make a long one. I would love to start off in South America and work my way through parts of Asia to New Zealand, Fiji and end up in Australia. I intend to travel and work as it's the best way to get the feel of a place and extra cash never hurt anyone. I'm thinking of taking a sports management course in Oz. at Southern Cross but might be difficult with visas etc. Have to look into that one a li'l more. I love all sports, I ski, snowboard, hike, wake board, water ski and am starting surf lessons in Hossegor France next week end (27/08/05), had a go in Cape Town, friend tried teaching me but didn't have enough patience and me not enough concentration, kinda hard to concentrate when waters are crawling with Great Whites and there had been attcks pretty much every month or so!! |
