I have tried a number of different activities over the years and will always consider giving something new a go, life would become too boring otherwise!

Goals/aspirations: To travel the world and visit every continent, as well as visiting a country for each letter of the alphabet and sailing on every continent, and the normal "be happy and content with life" (see below for more details)

After completing a degree in Geography and English Literature, and then a Teacher Training course as a Geography Teacher, I now teach in a fab school on the West Sussex coastline. I enjoy a variety of activities, but have a passion for sailing (racing and coaching) and travelling [I plan to visit every continent, including Antarctica, and as many countries within them - this year (planned so far) is Kenya (with Scouts), and UK in the past 13 European countries, Turkey and USA - the world will be mine!), and enjoy other outdoor sports, from kayaking and climbing, to camping and hiking, as well as indoor activities like Ballroom and Latin American dancing, and more regular sports like cricket, football and rugby, and watching motor-sports (live and on TV)! Which is why I enjoy being a Scout Leader so much, as it ensures that I get out and about regularly completing a vast array of activities, and I give back to the community with my time. After all the outdoors is too beautiful to stay inside too much, though curled up with a nice hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire sounds good as well! Though it is during these crisp autumnal-winter evenings that I like to stand out in the garden gazing up at the stars, or take a walk on the beach and watch the world spin on by, whilst also utilising my time to try to catch up on my reading and arts and crafts, like needlecraft, that is when I get the chance to anyway! I have tried a number of different activities over the years and will always consider giving something new a go, life would become too boring otherwise!

I'm looking for someone who is preferably interested in outdoor activities, travelling and various other activities, but most importantly enjoys life and wants to make the most of it! As I am aiming to go travelling around the world from September 2010 - currently in Canada, I will be here for at least 6-12 months, then onto either the South America-NZ-OZ-Asia route, or Asia-Oz-NZ-South America route, I will decide in 2011, depending on whether I am travelling with anyone or not. I am aiming to tie in my travelling to working opportunities, such as working as a Teacher, Au Pair, Sailing Instructor, etc, or just travelling on the cheap (I have a tent, etc!). So I am looking for someone that is up for going on an adventure to as many locations as is possible, but does not mind stopping in an area for a while to earn funds before moving onto the next location - from teaching to more manual jobs (so long as they are safe and legal). So if anyone is already planning on a round the world trip and wants a companion - whether you are stopping for work on the way, or just going around it all - let me know. I am friendly and adaptable, and just looking to widen my horizons and make the most of being young and free!
