1st November
Dan and I got up this morning looking forwards to a weekend by ourselves exploring. We had finished our last day at Aquarius the night before and were now free again. Although most of the time the job was ok it seemed more effort than it was worth in the last few weeks thanks to one of the workers who liked to tell tales to the boss, making our lives more difficult and awkward as at times you didn’t want to do or say anything in case you incriminated yourself!!
Jo the boss came in and gave us our wages, all we had was a few things to sort out in the van before heading off to Springbrook national park. On the way we stopped at the supermarket to stock up on food and fuel, it was exciting to be heading off again to someplace new after 7 weeks in one place.
Springbrook want to far from where we had been living so after 30mins we had reached Springbrook mountain where walks, lookouts and waterfalls were spread over a 15km radius. After a quick bite to eat we went to a lookout that gave us a view of the coast line and lead up to a waterfall and some walks. We found a secluded car par and decided to stay there for the night. Tomorrow we would have a full day see the rest of the sights.
