18th July
We were up at 6am, there are only two buses a day that go to KK, 7.30am-7.30pm. Our flight is on the 19th (PM) so we wanted to get the early bus as it would take 10hrs nd we didn't want to be taking any risks. We had also planed to meet up with John and Rachel tonight in KK.
After a very swiftly breakfast we headed to the bus terminal only to find that that was in fact for almost every other bus but ours!! So we went as quickly as possible round the corner and saw the buses. However when we asked for tickets they kindly told us they were sold out! This was not good, it didn't matter too much if we got the bus that evening but it would be having to sit around for 12hrs, miss seeing john and Rachel, going to the cinema and a night in a bed instead of on a bus!!
We decided to stay at the terminal until the bus had gone just in case some people didn't show. By some major stroke of luck or fate the man suddenly said OK quickly pay but you will not be sitting together. Well we weren't fussed about that just very grateful we could get on!!
After a pleasant 10hr journey..heplded along by the sleep inducing travel sickness pills, we arrived in KK. John and Rachel hand kindly made a reservation for us in the place they were staying so we headed straight there.
We settled in and after a shower we all headed out and caught up on which each couple had been up too.
We had a pretty expensive dinner to celebrate our engagement before heading off to the cinema to watch the new batman film, which we all agreed was pretty good.
After the movie we went back to our rooms for our last night in Borneo, i was pretty sad we were going as we have had a superb 10 days here and have seen things which i only dreamed of seeing before. I would definitely come back here!!
