24 July 2008 - (c) Spending and saving money in KL!!

20th July

That morning I got up before Dan and sat upstairs in the common area, I got chatting to a guy and he said that Malaysia was cheaper than Singapore for electronics. Once Dan had got up I told him what the guy had said, we decided we would check out some of the electronics malls after breakfast.

Well a few hours later we were leaving the mall a couple of hundred pounds worse off but with an asus 900 eee pc!! All we had to do now was get back to the hostel and check it out!! The hostel has free wifi so it meant we could connect to the internet for free (at least now our internet costs will go down!!)

The rest of the day was spent playing with our new toy, washing our clothes and reading!! We have had a busy few weeks so it was quite nice just to relax in the room.

21st July

We had another quiet day, although we had a long walk to and around the PETRONAS towers. Dan bought a new book and I got a magazine. We went to the bus station and booked our bus to Singapore for the following day!

I wanted to get my hair cut, so we finally found a place that wasn’t too pricey. I asked for a trim, well she must have taken a millimeter of as there was almost no hair on the floor, she also didn’t touch any of my layers only the very ends. I did question about my layers but she just looked at me blankly, I just paid the money and left…I will try again in oz!! It will be great when we get home as I can go round Nat’s (my best friend) and she will do it for me and I known it will be done properly!!
