28th June
After a good nights sleep, without the company of mosquito's we got up and had a much needed fry up!! Not quite like one at home but it served it's purpose!! It had been really nice to sleep with covers last night, sometime we haven't done in a long while!! We even had to ask for extra blankets this morning!!
We checked out a local map and headed out for trail 10, here they have lots of different walks and tours to go on and with the climate not so intense we were set to go!
We bumped into a group of English people on our way so walked with them. It was a pretty steep climb and we were both feeling pretty unfit!! I was at the back of the group when i spotted a black snake in the path. Everyone of the 6 in front of me had stepped over it without noticing it was there. At first i thought it may be dead but as i got my camera out it slithered away!! That is the first and only wild snake i have seen since we arrived in south east Asia.
After a tiring climb we reached the top, the views were pretty impressive from here so we took some pictures before heading back the way we came. The others were going a different route but we had stupidly forgotten to buy more water and had now run out so didn't want to risk a longer journey back.
The rest of the afternoon we explored the village and did our washing, it would take longer to get the clothes dry in the cooler climate.
