26 March 2008 - kuala lumpar, singapore and Oz!!

hello everyone!

we havent updated our journal in quite a while so this entry is a mixture of loads of different stuff weve done!

on out second day in kuala lumpar we went and got tickets to go up to the petronas towers which was cool, stood on the highest sky bridge in the world!! it was very high! 41 storeys! we then went to the aquarium, like true tourists, which was ok. and then we left, so didnt have very long there, but was still a cool place!

we then went to singapore which was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! we arrived late so didnt do anything in the eve apart from find our hostel, and we were put in the hottest room i have ever been in! it was literally a greenhouse! so obviously we complained and got moved the next day! we then went to the jurong bird park! it was quality! we went in the two biggest avaries in the world! one of which has one of the biggest man made waterfalls inside it1 INSANE! the birds just landed on you and you could feed them, was very cool! in the eve we went to a bar called the clinic, it was laid out like a hospital! all the chairs were wheelchairs and there were hospital bed everywhere, and they also serve the drinks in blood bags and syringes!! was SOOOO expensive though!

the next day we went to singapore zoo, and i almost wet myself i was so excited! it was kind of a open zoo, all the monkeys, birds, orangutan etc roaming around free! the place was also huge! the best zoo we ever went too! we were so impressed we decided to do the night safari in the evening too! we saw all the nocturnal animals and was also amazing! there were huge cages you could walk thorugh which had flying squirrels and huge bats flying over our heads! one of our favourite days!!

we then, unfortunatly. had to leave singapore and we moved on to Oz! we flew into alice springs, and its literally in the middle of no where!! just surrounded by desert! was the weirdest but most amazing place! on our first day we hired out a car and drove into the outback... yes, we are mental! we drove to the macdonell ranges and saw huge chasms and gorges etc! also some huge lizards!

then we went on a three day tour to kings canyon, the olgas and ayres rock! we camped out under the stars and hiked at least 4 hours everyday! had a really cool tour group though and we had loads of fun! it absolutly chucked it down on our last night though, at 2am, so we woke up soaking wet and freezing cold!

we are now in adelaide where we have met up with some college mates! (bridges and woody). having lots of fun and just chillin out. may also be renting a camper van soon!!!
