Well, I leave turkey in 10 days heading for UK where i will be staying for a few weeks before heading off on our year long round the world trip. Alice(grandaughter) and I are both very excited about the trip, our first stop being New York, where we will be spending a few days then have to somehow make our way overland to LA for our flight out to Cook Islands. We will have 5 weeks in the USA which should give us plenty of time to get across and see some interesting places on route.
Cant decide yet which method of transport to take, ie, drive, bus, fly. knowing me i will fly it seems the cheapest option, and I do have to keep eye on the budget.
My life here in Turkey is winding down and everything is packed up, bills paid, paperwork dealt with, friends are throwing me goodbye party's which is wonderful, but going to be sad too!!!
I have already made new friends from all over the world(and I havnt left yet) through the wonderful couchsurfing site, and will be staying with people all over USA, Fiji New Zealand and Australia.
Well this is my first entry and i dont intend to write anymore before i go, so the next one will be from New York!!! night folks
