We got up and had breakfast, we decided to go to a cafe instead of the usual street stand as a treat. Dan and i both ordered poached eggs with bacon....ummm.....or so we thought!! We were sorely disappointed!! I have never seen anything like it, the eggs had been cooked to oblivion, the yoke was so dry it had cracked and resembled an old womans heel!! Needless to say i didn't eat it and Dan kindly told the lady that it wasn't nice...we didn't get a refund or money off!!!

We got the bus and after a pleasant 2hr journey we arrived in kanchanaburi. Loni (a friend from the k&s) had given us a name of a good guest house to stay so we headed there. It was a great recommendation, thanks Loni! The guest house backs on to the river kwai and they have got some floating platforms which make a great place to read or relax for a few hours.

We settles in then headed out to explore. We soon found out that there are many things to do here so we were looking forward to being busy as the last few weeks have seemed quite uneventful!!

Dan and i decided we would book ourselves onto a tour for the following morning, so after dinner we had an early-ish night so we could get up feeling ready to go in the morning.
