We decided that we would do 2 tours whilst in ho chi minh, the mekong delta day trip and the cu chi tunnels.
mekong delta was a great day, it was nice to see outside of the city. We also got chatting to loads of different people so managed to get some tips of where to go. Most of the trip was spent on boats, both motorized and rowing. We got shown round some houses and tasted some of the wine, honey and sweets they produce.
That evening we meet up with a few people we had met during the day and had a meal together.
Yesterday we went to the cu chi tunnels. they are what the vietnamies people lived in during the vietnam war. Again we had a good day, it was interesting to see the tunnels they were tiny, dan did a 90meter length in the tunnels but i didnt as they were so small it made me feel sick before i'd even got in it!!
In the evening we got the bus and headed north to a beach town called mu nie, we didnt have anywhere booked so we were hoping there would be a room for us somewhere. We didnt arrive until 1am, the bus driver dropped us and 3 girls on the street...we asked a few guesthouses if they had a room but they were full. We headed off down the street when 5 guys on mopeds stopped us and offered a lift to a guesthouse. After a 5min or so discussion we decided to go with them. It was rather scary at first as my guy was slower than the others but after a few minutes they droped us off to a nice place.
Today we havent really done much, we had a walk around the town and wandered onto the beach. There was hundreds of kyte surfers there so we watched them for a while.
I think we will probably stay here for a few days then head further north to a place called dalat.
