9 January 2009 - (4) Chores and Manley beach

15th December

It was time to do some chores so Dan and i spent most of the day sorting through our things, food shopping and catching up with some journals, so the day was pretty uneventful!!

16th December

After such a boring day yesterday we decided to go to Manley for the day, it is part of the city but you have to get there by ferry. It was a great day to go as the weather was lovely, we made rolls for lunch and packed some fruits and biscuits.

We were on the ferry by 10am and arrived in Manley by 10.30am, there were lots of people on the ferry all heading to the each so we decided we would go for a walk first to get away from the crowds. We got a map from the information centre and followed a recommended walking route around Little Manley, it was a beautiful area a lot of which was quite secluded, so after a few hours we stopped and had a roll and some biscuits.

We continued the walk and eventually came to the main beach which was stunning but very busy, we stopped for tea before sitting on the beach front people watching for a good couple of hours. It was great to have some quality time together, I know we have had the last 10 months but sometimes your with each other but not really having time to appreciate one another.

We spent much of the day sitting enjoying our surroundings before walking back towards the harbour with an ice cream!!
