10 June 2008 - Goodbye Koh Tao...Hello Koh Samui

2nd June

We got up early as we had planned to walk to the pier with our rucksacks so we wanted to do it before it got too hot, as it was a good 20 min walk!

When we got there we booked our tickets with an hour to spare so we had some poached eggs for breakfast whilst we waited.

At 10.30 we boarded the boat and set off. The island looked beautiful as we sailed away from it, strange how you appreciate things after they are gone!!

At Koh Pangang we had to change boats, this island also look beautiful. The water was turquoise and looked so inviting i wished we were staying there for a few days!!

We finally arrived in Samui at 2pm, we had decided to go to the busiest part as i thought it would be cheaper there. What a mistake!! It was like being on the Costa Del sol not an island in Thailand!! There were over priced shops, bars and restaurants all lined together in a 6km stretch! A German guy had told us there was a nice part right at the end of the stretch so we decided to walk along the beach on our way. We finally got there an hour later and it was full of expensive resorts, what a disappointment!

We made our way back to our guest house, exhausted we had a pretty early night feeling some what fed up!!
