5 April 2008 - Nosh on the Namoi, Narrabri
Yay day off!!! Michelle got round at about half 10 we then left for Onika's house in Narrabri. Got to Onika's and had a cuppa as it was over an hour's drive. We then drove up to the Namoi Creek which is where Nosh was being held. What a good day, we walked around all day trying all sorts of things including the best sun dried tomatoes Ive ever had, linseed cookies which were proper yummy and some lovely pork steaks which we had for lunch along with chicken skewers and salad. We also met some celebrity chef, whose name escapes me, who comes from Narrabri and always comes and does free stuff every year. Once we had tried all the food we wanted to we made our way to the wine tasting tents where spent the rest of the day!! We had a lovely dinner which was based on the sort of food you would eat in the bush. It was stuff like Shepherd's pie and curried sausages. Onika's boyfriend turned up early on in the evening he was a nice bloke called Stuart and he did some sort of farming work. Rang Coops and wished him a happy wedding day.
