Day 28 - We left Siem Riep in the morning for a long bus journey to Bangkok. We were warned that it would be a bumpy ride but neither of us realised how bumpy it would be! Most of the road out of Cambodia was dirt/mud, the driver tried to avoid the pot holes but on occasions we still managed to take off from our seats! The scenery more than made up for it though and we saw some amusing sights, such as trucks completely overloaded with goods or people. As soon as we got to the Thai border the roads were then back to what we were used to (and we even drove on our side of the road!). That evening we said our goodbyes to the group at our final dinner. Now it's just the two of us.
Day 29 - We had a quick shopping trip to a large mall in Bangkok for some bargain purchases - more t-shirts etc. We then posted home some of the souvenirs we have accumulated so far. We went on the internet and found out that our flight had changed the next day from 10.30am to 6.30am so decided to have an early night.
Day 30 - Up very early for our flight to Krabi. Nice short 1 hour flight. We took a taxi then a boat to Railay Beach. As we were so early our room wasn't ready so we sat by the pool for a few hours. Unfortunately we misjudged the suns intensity and both got sunburnt! (Lynne a lot more than Ricky!).
Day 31 - We were careful in the sun today! In the shade between noon and 3pm, slip, slap, slop! We saw what we think was a green cat snake (a smallish one) land on a woman's sunbed next to us. She carefully moved away and it slithered across the floor, under our sunbeds and up a tree! We sat on the beach to watch the sunset and enjoyed a lovely dinner on the beachfront.
