Day 178 - In order to kill a few hours before our next journey a few of the group took a bus trip into Paraguay. Essentially when you cross the border it is just markets, markets, markets. They mainly sell electronic goods which the Brazilians and Argentinians buy because there is no tax. There weren´t really any bargains for us though. However, Ricky came away with a couple of football shirts (surprise, surprise!). The doors of the markets had security guards with pump action shotguns which was rather disconcerting but generally you felt pretty safe there. Ricky was given a dodgy $5 bill in his change but this was soon spent by Lynne! Ricky was also particularly impressed by the cloned girls working in one shop where each wore an identical outfit of a red shirt and very very short black skirt! After all that excitement it was onto the night bus to the town of Paraty in Brazil.
