4 April 2008 - Chile

Day 186 - Arrived in Santiago at about 6.30am (very very very tired!). Got a taxi to our hotel and luckily for us the kind receptionist was able to find a room so we could go straight to bed! (although we were in a quadruple room and 3 beds had been used so we had to share a single - but it was better than nothing!). After lunch we did a tour of the city. We had arranged the tour last time we were in Santiago. It ended up being just the two of us with a guide! We were both too knackered to really appreciate the architecture etc but the guide was very enthusiastic which helped!

Day 187 - Tour to the Andes. We visited the Valle Nevado Ski Resort (without snow!) which is located 2500m above sea level and can only be reached via some very winding roads. We saw amazing views over the Andes and could see snow capped peaks in the distance.
