Well, yes, I'm leaving Austria tonight. Currently biding my time in the hostel reception, reading "The Picture of Dorian Gray" as I can only afford a single fare into the centre of town and it's not practical to lug my backpack around in this weather.
I went round Vienna yesterday and saw some of the sites. It's a nice though not remarkable city. There's an amazing cathedral with a coulured tile roof, and lots of very attractive horses everywhere. It's a lot slower pace of life here, everyone seems more relaxed than at home i.e they aren't even ticket barriers on the "underground" (it doesn't really go underground- people can use their mobiles on the trains).
I have to admit to missing the familarity of home a bit, but hopefully this won't last long.
I need to be going now, otherwise the internet won't be free.
