29 September 2006 - Bangkok

Bob and I are here in the Bangkok area for 1 week en route for the World Firefighter Games in Hong Kong, next week. We had a few night at one of the posh hotels who's name escapes me as they're all the same. Right now were staying at the amazing ATLANTA Hotel (bit more than a hostel but v basic rooms!). You simply must stay here if you are in Bangkok. Very old fashioned, colonial eccentricity. Check the website www.theatlantahotel.bizland.com/ index.html Its amazing. Did all the sightseeing, had a day at the River Kwai then headed down to the beach for a couple of days. Looking forward to traveling around Thailand in summer 07.
