1st June
We got up at 6.30 and headed outside at 7am to wait to be picked up. We were both excited although i was a little nervous as we hadn't done any diving for 3 months so i was in need of a refresher.
We got to bans and waited to be told to get on the boat. We briefly met our instructor who would lead us round the sites. We were doing two dives each, at different sites, one of which had 3 turtles living in so we were hopefully!
We got on the boat and Ben (our instructor) ran through hand signals and explained what we would do at each dive site. Although Dan and i have got our open water padi you still have an instructor diving with you.
Both dives were good and we saw a range of fish, including a moray eel and titan trigger fish, blue ringed stingray and some big puffer fish. We were disappointed as we didn't manage to see turtles. Although the diving was good, surprisingly it was no better than Vietnam, although we had heard that it was.
We walked around the island for the rest of the day and packed some stuff up as we were leaving the next day. Originally we were going to visit all three islands on the east coast but realistically we didn't have time so we decided to go to koh samui and miss out on koh pangang.
