22 September 2008 - Rain, rain and more rain!!

We woke up this morning to the sound of heavy rain, we had hoped to go up the coast a little to have a look round but we decided to have a day of reading instead. It rained all day, so we didn’t leave the van until 5pm when we went to john and Rachel’s apartment in surfer’s paradise. We were really impressed with their place, it was just a backpacker’s hostel but they had their own apartment which they had to share with a few other people. As it happened the other people were out all night so we had the place to ourselves so we had dinner and a couple of glasses of wine.

We decided that we would travel together for the following week as we all wanted to do the same tours and it would be great to spend some more time together. Dan and I stayed in the van outside their room that night as we had planned to leave early in the morning to get the most out of our day as Dan and I had to be back in Surfers paradise the following week to start work.
