3rd June
I woke up feeling fed up, i was not happy spending any more time in this town!! Dan was still asleep so i decided to go and do some research on the net to see if any of the other towns on the island sounded better.
After an hour searching i had found a possibility all that was left was to wake Dan up and discuss what we wanted to do. Thankfully Dan felt the same way and couldn't wait to move on, so we decided to skip breakfast till we had settled somewhere new!
It didn't start well, we walked 1km in the wrong direction so had to walk back again and at this point it was very hot! After standing in the right place for 5 mins we flagged down a truck (there form of local bus). The driver told us he wife ran a place which had cheap bungalows so he dropped us off. I was feeling a bit put out as i had had my heart set on a place I'd seen on the net! I was soon to forget that though as the bungalows were just fine, even better was that they were on the beach which was stunning! We chose one that was a row behind the beach fronts as it saved us 100 baht!!
We got settled in our room and as we came out we found 4 puppies outside the bungalow. They were so cute, a girl was fusing over them so we got chatting to her for a few mins.
After skipping breakfast we were hungry so we checked in and ordered some breakfast. The restaurant wasn't the cheapest but had a beautiful view and it was raining so it was convenient.
Soon Kate (the girl we met earlier) and her boyfriend Anwar came and joined us so we chatted to them for a while. The sun came out and we got our bathing suits on and headed for the water. It was great as both Dan and i could go in the water without worrying about our stuff as it was safe in our room 20 meters away!
The rest of the day we spent in and out the water getting acquainted with our new friends. Both Dan and i felt a lot happier and was happy to stay here for the next few days.
