The night in the long house was a noisy one!! The millions (ok slight exaggeration) of dogs that live in the village would not stop barking, not to mention the very loud gecko's!! Luckily Dan had bought some earplugs with him and in true gentleman fashion he let me have them. This helped somewhat.
I was up by 6am, the village people were bustling around and the cockerels had started their morning call, of course the dogs had their say in things as well!!
We had some breakfast, in a cafe which overlooked the lake, paddy fields and mountains which was nice. They also had an elephant there waiting for people to have a ride. we decided against this as not only was it out of our budget but we were unsure of how well kept they were.
Todays adventures consisted of visiting more waterfalls and a freshwater lagoon. We were both feeling a bit disappointed with the trip so far as altho we had had a great first day, the food they were buying for us were much more expensive that what we could get ourselves on the streets, and now we had 2 locals with us ordering the food which should have made things cheaper but i think we were having to pay for them as well. We were feeling a bit exploited especially as we were paying them $100 per day. To make matters worse Dans tummy was playing up, not nice when your on a motorbike most of the day!!!
The freshwater lagoon was good fun, we had brought our swim suits with us so we jumped straight in. Pretty soon more people arrived and one of them was Thor, the Canadian guy we spent some time with in munie. It was great to catch up with him. We also saw joe there and oz guy we had meet the night before in the village by the lake.
The waterfall we saw was big but as i said before not as beautiful as the previous one.
The night was spent at a hotel, we told the easy rider we would not be eating with them as Dan's tummy was bad, this wasn't a lie but we also didn't want to be ripped off again. WE went out and found a street vendor, we got some noodle soup each and it only cost us 30,000vnd (1gpb) the night before when the guides took us out it cost 130,000vnd!!! You see our point!!
The next day we pretty much just headed straight to nha trang again this just enhanced our feeling of being ripped off!! We got to nha trang and booked into a hotel and decided that we would not take an easy rider tour again. We are glad we did it tho as it was an experience and we had definitely seen more doing it this way.
