10 March 2010 - Attractions of San Diego

San Diego is a huge modern city of the Southern California. I went to see this modern city on the last year in the summer days with my friend William. It was 7 days trip. We went their by American Airlines flight from LA to San Diego.We arrived there in the evening. When we arrived, first thing that we have done was:-we took a bus and reached at the hotel Hard Rock which was among the cheap hotels of the San Diego that was booked by us in advance. We took rest and planned to visit the San Diego in the next morning.

There were lots of things to see and we Balboa Park to see first. So firstly, we hired a car and went to see the Balboa Park. It was more beautiful as I thought about it. Here we found an expansive campus of Museums, Parks, Gardens and Arboretums. The attractive places which makes visit to Balboa Park necessary were:- Neo-classical Spanish architecture, flowering gardens, a beautiful clock tower and intriguing museums. The Neo-classical Spanish architecture was as unbelievable. The architect, who had built it, will really be a great person.

Next we went to see the San Diego Zoo. It is located in the Balboa Park.100 acres of displays and habitats are encompasses in the zoo. Animals were running constantly and the scene was looking very relax full. We grab some photos of Tigers, rabbits, hippopotamus, dears, rabbits and of some birds also.

In the second day we had decided to go on beach. La Jolla is a upscale coastal community of San Diego that included secluded coves, beaches and ocean cliffs to explore. There were dozens of coffee shops, restaurants and high-end shopping outlets to visit in La Jolla. Then we had seen children’s Coves that are originally built for the children. There we had seen the Harber Seals. We took some more snaps of seals and of some cute children, playing with water.

In the third day, we went to see the Birch Aquarium. There we had seen the Fantastic exhibit included physical oceanography, standard aquarium fish, and a massive kelp tank. At the end of the third day, we came back to our hotel because we were tired but only our body not our soul.

With fresh mood in the fourth day, we woke up and again started our visit of San Diego. In the fourth day, we went to see Point Loma Lighthouse and Cabrillo National Monument. Point Loma visitors can get the panoramic view after going there. Really it was so beautiful and wonderful. My friend William was surprised with its beauty and attraction. Point Loma Lighthouse included from 19th century cannons, preserved buildings and icons of the Spanish heritage of San Diego and the Old West, to the haunted Whaley House. There were plenty of restaurants, shopping centers, and nightlife in the Cabrillo National Monument.

In the fifth day we went to see the USS museum that was located the Mission Valley. Mission valley is among the oldest town of the San Diego.

In the sixth day, we decided to do something adventurous. There were a lots of things to do there like Boating, Whale-Watching, Sailing, Surfing, Cuba-Diving, Hang Gliding, Golfing, Hiking and Biking and most adventurous was Rock Climbing. My friend William started to climb the rock. I was feeling scared. So I did not climb the rock. But William enjoyed the rock climbing under the observation of the experts. The people of that area were very friendly but no so modern. But William met a lots of people and Abacus a villager became a friend of William. Overall, We enjoyed the adventure of rock climbing most.

In the seventh day, we decided to buy something for our relatives. So we left the hotel Hard Rock for Westfield UTC shopping mall which was in down town. There were also a lot of shopping malls like Westfield Mission Valley, fashion valley etc. My friend William purchased a beautiful watch for his brother. I also bought a beautiful dress for my sweet little sister. At the end of the day we came back to our hotel. When we came back to our hotel we feel very relax full and home full. We feel very comfortable at our hotel -Hard Rock I think it is the best hotel of the San Diego. They offered us a great discount. It was among the cheap hotels in san diego The service of the hotel was very good and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the food and night life of the hotel. And then we took our back flight which was at night and came back to home.

This tour was unforgettable for me and my friend William.
