17th July
Today we went diving at mabul, it is macro or muck diving as most of the things to see are small and can sometimes take time to find them.
Unfortunately the weather was bad, it rained hard most of the day but we were grateful it rained now and not whilst we were in the jungle.
The diving was excellent again, we saw lots of things including frog fish, shrimp, cuttlefish, moray eels and a huge crocodile flat head.
On the second dive Dan kept trying to tell me something but i couldn't get what he was saying. Its pretty hard to communicate when diving unless you have a slate to write on or use signs in which you both know!
Eventually after a few goes Dan spelt out on his hand "will you marry me", i have to say i was pretty shocked and wasn't sure if he was being serious at first. I think i must have been to shocked to answer as he shrugged his shoulders as if to say well, i said yes of course and nodded my head vigorously, so he could see my answer.
When we got to the surface we were finally able to speak, Dan had planned it a month or so ago and had emailed my dad to ask his permission. He had planned to do it on my birthday but the few times he tried i didn't understand what he was saying...i'm just glad he was persistent!!
The last dive was also very good, we saw moray eels again, a huge turtle, cow fish,, pipe fish and many more.
All in all we had a great day, i couldn't wait to get on the net and share my good news with friends and family.
For those of you who may be wondering the wedding wont be for a couple of years, unless we win the lotto or something!! I will also have to wait for a ring till we get home.
