12th June
Dan and i got up early and treated ourselves to a breakfast from the bakery to set us up for our two dives!
Thankfully the dive shop offered me some anti sickness pills before we went on the boat, we had been warned that is was going to be choppy....not what we wanted to hear!!!
We were both excited as we had heard good things about the diving here, they have regular visits from whale sharks, and its home to leopard sharks and reef sharks so as ever Dan and i were hopefully that we may catch a glimpse!!
Our first dive we saw an artificial reef that had been set up, it had lots of fish around it and a few bits of coral had started to grow there. The visibility was pretty poor but it was an enjoyable dive all the same.
The second dive was at a place called the wall...the name speaks for itself!! This dive was beautiful, again the visibility was poor but we saw lots different marine life, moray eels, lion fish, puffer fish just to name a few. We were gutted as we had to surface but two other guys who had more air left saw a leopard shark!!
Oh well, we were pleased with the dives and glad to get off the boat at the end as it was pretty rough out there!! Dan and i decided that we would not bother going to see where they filmed the movies the beach as the weather was so poor, so we planned to leave in the morning.
