9 November 2007 - Checking out....

Final installment before we check out of this amazing holiday....

The night we got back from Ilha Grande we went out with a few people from the hostel down to copacabanna for a couple of cheeky caiperinha (national drink made of Sugar, Limes and Cuchassa - god i cant spell) then we tried to get into the infamous HELP nightclub to see what it was like. We couldn't believe it when they turned us away for having Havis on! Its like the national footwear of this country - everyone wears them! Anyway, unperturbed we then got a cab to a house party in Botafogo which was so bizarre. Essentially a house with two floors, a dancefloor and bar downstairs playing serious Reggae and upstairs they had old skool pacman and fruit machines and a mini-shop of all things!!!

Yesterday we just spent the day on Ipanema beach (turning left at point 9 where all the beautiful people go - obviously we fit in well there).

Last night Tel took us to yet another amazing restaurant Santa Teresa with panoramic views of RIO. Our table was in a tree house and the food was absolutely stunning - only the best for El Tel!!!!

So we've checked out now and flights leave at 8ish tonight...booooo....24hrs of traveling awaits Stu and I, if I'm not all there when i get back, you'll know why.
