This morning we drove straight to the war memorial, after a cup of tea we made our way to the start, although it is a memorial they have large museum on site too. Just as we got inside w were informed over the tanoy that a guide was about to start a tour if any one wanted to join, so we thought we would tag along.
The tour lasted about 2hrs, we all really enjoyed it, the guide was excellent and really knew his stuff, we found out later that he had served in the 2nd world war. We had lunch then returned to the museum to see some of the parts we had missed earlier, it was a good few hours before we left.
Our gas supplies for our cookers were running very low so our priority was to find a shop to stock up, we had been informed of an outlet centre en route to our next destination so we headed that way. The outlet centre was useless but next door was a camping store where not only did we get the gas but we also purchased a head net each in preparation for Alice Springs!!
By 7pm we reached Cooma, a town in the snowy mountains, we had chosen a campsite earlier that day as we were all in need of a shower. Instead of our usual un powered site we went for a cabin, it was nice Sarah to have a bed and I was looking forward to some extra space sheltered from the elements, I don’t think Dan was fussed either way so he let us decided!
Sarah cooked a lovely meal whilst Dan and I popped to the shops, we hadn’t realised we were on our last can of milk!
