18 July 2008 - Still planning

So I've decided i want to go to Mexico and Guatemala. I have allot of planning to do, and not to mention vaccines to take. I'm all good with needles now since military camp, i swear she gave me six shots in 4 minutes. ha ha those were the days. So I looked up a couple volunteer programs and i found some really good looking ones. I'm going to volunteer in a animal refuge and maybe an orphanage I haven't looked those up yet. Also Costa Rica I'm going to hopefully be there hatching season so i could see all the baby turtles, that would be amazing. I hope one needs to be "directed" to sea, because i really want to hold one. I think their soo cute. Very scary when their older but that goes for all babies right? Haha I'm coming up with my budget and I'm hoping to over estimate. In the newspaper they were looking for people to go work in Antarctica, that seems fun? So i plan to hit up Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and maybe a couple near by areas. Brazil is a high hope. I want to go in low season, but I haven't found a travel buddy so hopefully i make some friends. I am like 5'2", and look like I'm 16 so i bet people are going to wonder where my "parents" are. Oh I'm in Alaska, great place. I live here though so of course I like it.
