23 April 2008 - another day at the pool....and tickets to borneo!!

We had planned to visit the land mine museum today but after inquiring we found that is was a lot further away than we anticipated and therefore the tuk tuk ride alone would be $15 thats almost half of our daily budget. So we decided to give it a miss as we knew that going to Angkor Wat the following day was going to put us way over budget as well.

Instead we went back to the pool and had a quite and much needed cheap day. When we calculated our budget we worked it on the advice from the lonely planet guide, that was rather naive of us!! Prices have inflated some what since then even though it was the most up to date edition, so some days we are finding it hard to stay on track!!

With this put firmly to the back of our minds, i book Dan and i return tickets to Borneo!! We are very excited and have timed it so we will be there for my birthday....what a wonderful present. The tickets were very cheap and although it doesn't help the current cash flow it is well worth it and we figure we can make up the funds in Australia anyway.

That evening we ate in the hotel with both dutch couples and planned our trip to Angkor the following morning. We decided to go for sunrise so we all had an early night!
