17 April 2008 - back to Pakse then to champasak

7th April

Dan and i got on the bus and headed back to paske. After being dropped 2km away from the centre we made our way in the blistering heat. When we got there we found a cheap place for the night and spent the rest of the day on the internet and relaxing.

8th April

First thing we got to the bus station. Our bus was not a bus but a truck with three benches in the back. We were squeezed in, in true Asian style with no room to move! i had a woman sitting on my knees whilst Dan had a man who couldn't stay a wake to contend with!!

The journey wasn't too bad and by 1pm we had arrived at our destination and found a place to stay. Again it was a blistering day, we had found out that April was Laos hottest month and temperatures were hitting 40 degrees!! Unfortunatley our budget wasnt big enough to get us an air conditioned room in this town so we made do with a fan!!
