While thrilled to see my family and friends again, its still a struggle to fight off the blues.
Some things here have stayed painfully the same, such as my local clubbing area which seems to have been frozen in time, and pales in comparison to Rio and Buenos Aires. And somethings have seen drastic changes, My old house now belongs to someone else, my mum has moved to Norfolk, and My dad to Southampton. My friends have all grown old, but not wise, and now the test is to see if I have changed in anyway except my jean size.... the next test is if I can diet and exercise enought to get back to my old jean size, If I manage that maybe it'll be like I never really left either.
But ill always have new shoes to show for my jouney... oh, and some new friends, and though they dont read this I would like to say that all the people who I met helped to make the trip that bit more special!..
too cheesy.
and I bought 2 more pairs of shoes this week... so thats 7 pairs in 2 weeks... it is nice not to have to carry all of my new purchases on my back, so thats one more point to coming home over being away....
Away still wins.
