An extremely cold swim in the San Ramon waterfalls, Monteverde. So cold it was quite painful, in fact. Had to be done though. A snake on the path which our One of the other people doing the Monteverde canopy tour. You can see just how high up the zip lines were, the last of the 16 was 600 metres long and 90 metres above the forest floor. An iguana we spotted during a trip up the Sarapiqui river. A bubbling volcanic mud spring in Rincon de la Vieja national park.
This is the other reason to visit Costa Rica: Mount Arenal, one of the few active Volcanoes in this hemisphere. This is a rare shot as the mountain is usually covered in mist. At night when it is clear and the volcano is spewing, it is a wonderful show of nature's fireworks. Puerto Viejo You can see why surfing is the big attraction.
