Sunset at Playa del Coco, Pacific coast. The enormous (2nd largest in the world) crater of Volcan Poas, some 1.5km across, with a lake in its centre. An incredible view once the clouds cleared after 30 minutes of waiting. A snake on the path which our The road to Manzanillo You can see why surfing is the big attraction.  This is the famous Salsa Brava shot from Beach Break.

An extremely cold swim in the San Ramon waterfalls, Monteverde. So cold it was quite painful, in fact. Had to be done though. One of the other people doing the Monteverde canopy tour. You can see just how high up the zip lines were, the last of the 16 was 600 metres long and 90 metres above the forest floor. A sloth near Volcan Poas. Such cool creatures. This was a 3-toed sloth. Puerto Viejo This is the other reason to visit Costa Rica: Mount Arenal, one of the few active Volcanoes in this hemisphere.  This is a rare shot as the mountain is usually covered in mist.  At night when it is clear and the volcano is spewing, it is a wonderful show of nature's fireworks.
