Sunset at Playa del Coco, Pacific coast. This is the other reason to visit Costa Rica: Mount Arenal, one of the few active Volcanoes in this hemisphere. This is a rare shot as the mountain is usually covered in mist. At night when it is clear and the volcano is spewing, it is a wonderful show of nature's fireworks. A bubbling volcanic mud spring in Rincon de la Vieja national park. You can see why surfing is the big attraction. This is the famous Salsa Brava shot from Beach Break. (p.S. These are not my shots, just place holders until I get my external hard drive back) An extremely cold swim in the San Ramon waterfalls, Monteverde. So cold it was quite painful, in fact. Had to be done though.
